The Effect of Academicians’ Self-Efficacy Perception on Their Voice Behaviour
Abstract
The current study examined the antecedents which lead employees to engage in voice behavior. Individual factors that encourage employees to speak up were investigated. Specifically, “Self-Efficacy” was expected to be positively related to “voice behavior”. A secondary dataset collected via survey method was used in this paper. A stratified sampling approach was used to gather data from 496 academicians who worked in twenty-eight universities in Istanbul. All analyses were conducted at the individual level. The results showed that self-efficacy and employee voice were positively related.
