The Family Effect on Family Business Performance
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of family effect on family business performance through F-PEC scale. This is a well-known scale by its validity and reliability measured through power, experience and culture dimensions of family businesses. In accordance with the research conducted over 349 family businesses all around Turkey and the structural equation model used to analyze the relationship between family effect and business performance, a statistically significant positive relationship was found between family effect and business performance. Hence, it was concluded that there is a strong relationship between the family effect and the family business performance.
